Hunter Douglas Inc. warrants that wood blinds from The Hunter Douglas Country Woods Collection will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for as long as the original retail purchaser owns the product, provided that such products were properly installed in residential dwellings and that Hunter Douglas recommendations were followed with regard to limitations and specifications. Some slight warpage, as well as natural variations in color and grain effect, are normal with a wood product and are not considered defects.
Specifications:

Care and Maintenance
Dusting
Like any wood furnishings, Country Woods blinds should be dusted regularly to keep them looking new. Use a soft, clean cloth, chemically treated dust cloth, or dusting mitt. Lower the blind to its full length, tilt the slats almost all the way down and dust. Then tilt the slats almost all the way up and dust. (Not fully closing the slats in either position allows dusting where the slats overlap.)
Vacuuming
Blinds may also be cleaned by vacuuming them with the brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner, using the procedure just described.
Damp Cleaning
Painted blinds may also be cleaned by wiping them with a soft, damp rag. Do not damp clean blinds with a stained finish, as water could affect their surface appearance.
Treating Stained Finish Blinds
Like Wood Furniture, stained finish blinds should be treated periodically with lemon oil or other wood preservative to protect their finish and enhance their lustre.
Special note: Hunter Douglas does not recommend ultrasonic cleaning of wood blinds.
Child Safety
The importance of child safety cannot be overstated. Loose cords on any window treatment must be secured to protect children and pets.
Break-Thru Safety Tassel
To further help prevent injury, all Hunter Douglas Country Woods blinds come standard with the patented Break-Thru Safety Tassel. The Break-Thru Safety Tassel is designed to break apart to protect children and pets. Should the tassel come apart, it is very easy to reassemble. Simply snap the halves back together. With multi-cord tassels, place the loose cords in the slot at the top of opposite tassel halves before snapping them back together.
