Choosing the right fabric for your window will ensure that your light and privacy concerns will be satisfied. We have grouped the fabrics for the Brilliance pleated shades according to light and privacy control features.
Semi-Sheer Fabrics (Allow soft, diffused light in for moderate privacy. Depending upon the style and colour, light and dark areas may be visible through semi-sheer shades, but detailed features will be obscured. Dark coloured fabrics provide greater privacy and room darkening, while light colours filter and soften harsh sunlight.)

Semi-Opaque Fabrics (Allow only filtered light in for privacy. These fabrics provide a high degree of privacy; someone looking through a semi-opaque rated shade into a lighted room would see only vague shapes. Deep coloured fabrics are room darkening; light coloured ones diffuse and mellow bright light.)

Things you should know about this product:
Minimum blind width: 12 For blinds under 12 there is a surcharge
Minimum blind height: 8
Maximum blind width single headrail: depends on fabric widths, but no more than 72 wide
Maximum blind width (2 on one or 3 on one headrail): depends on fabric width, but no more 144 wide
Maximum blind height: 96
Inside mount depth: 1
Inside mount depth fully recessed: 1 1/2
Shades that are 72" wide or wider may require excessive lifting force and we strongly recommend that the blind be manufactured with the Easy Glide lift option.
If you choose a Top Down/Bottom Up blind that is wider than 72", you must select the Easy Glide option as well.
Fabric Widths
Shades that are wider than the fabric width will have an overlap seam. The manufacturer will not guarantee the placement of this seam. The fabrics Day Dreams and Venetian Crinkle cannot be overlapped and the maximum width for Day Dreams is 71" wide and the maximum width for Venetian Crinkle is 65" wide. Lifetime Limited Warranty
Hunter Douglas Inc. warrants that Hunter Douglas pleated shades will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for as long as the original retail purchaser owns the product, PROVIDED THAT (i) such products were purchased after February 1, 1992; (ii) such products were properly installed in residential dwellings; and (iii) such products were made or assembled exclusively form Hunter Douglas materials and components.

Care and Maintenance
Care and Cleaning
Since Hunter Douglas Pleated Shades are anti-static and naturally repel dust, an occasional vacuuming or dusting is all the care required. A selection of pleated shade fabrics are treated with Scotchgardฎ, a fabric protector that helps shades look new longer and resists stains.

Child Safety
An important consideration in any shade installation is child safety. To prevent serious injuries or strangulation, all cords must be kept out of the reach of children, including infants. All cord-operated Hunter Douglas pleated shades come with a Child Safety Kit that includes two cord cleats, mounting screws, and instructions for use.
The cleats should be attached 6" to 12" apart at a safe height, taking into account furniture or other objects upon which a child may climb. Then, after each use of the shade, simply wrap the excess cord around the cleats. It's fast, easy, and safe.
In addition to cord cleats, there are three other basic ways to keep cords out of a child's reach:
- Cord Clip. Clip the cord to itself using a clip or other clamping device.
- Tie. Wrap or tie the cord to itself.
- Cord Tensioner. Designed for continuous cord loops, it holds the loop taut and secure. This is an excellent alternative method for Easy Glide ฎ shades.
