Your business is important to us, so we would like you to know how we handle warranty, returns, shipping, security and privacy issues.

Warranty Policy We sell only national name brand window treatments that are all covered by manufacturers' warranties. These warranties cover any defects in materials or workmanship provided the product is measured and installed according to the product instructions.
Every window treatment sold by NorthernBlinds.com is designed to provide a lifetime of trouble-free use. In the unlikely event that warranty service is ever needed, simply email us or call our Service Department TOLL FREE at 1-877-861-5023, and we'll arrange for a repair or replacement as quickly as possible.

Shipping Policy
Shipping Times
Most of our blinds ship within 5 to 10 working days after receipt of a complete order with credit card approval. On rare occasions, there may be manufacturing delays out of our control. In these cases, we will notify you of the delay and the estimated shipping date of your order. Unless there is a delay or need for more information from you, orders will be in production the following business day.
Within Canada
We offer free shipping anywhere in Canada for blinds under 96” in either width or height. For blinds larger than 96” in either dimension, a shipping charge will apply. In this case, we will email you a freight charge estimate for your approval prior to processing your order. Over-size blinds will be shipped by a freight carrier, as they exceed courier limitations and require special packaging.
We ship our blinds via Purolator, DHL and Canpar Courier. In most cases, they offer door-to-door service. If they do not offer this service in your area, the blinds will be held for you to pick up at the nearest Purolator, DHL and Canpar depots. Our customer service department will advise you of any details regarding the shipment and delivery of your order.
Outside Canada
We do not ship outside Canada.
Multiple Shipments
Different types of window treatments may be manufactured in different facilities and shipped separately. Therefore, if your order consists of different types of window treatments, you may receive them at different times. We will advise you of the estimated shipping dates by email message.
Damage During Shipping
Your blinds are insured through the manufacturer while being shipped. It is your responsibility when signing for receipt of the blinds, to thoroughly check the condition of the cartons. If you notice any damage to the boxes, indicate this on the courier’s waybill. We would suggest that you sign your name and write “Damaged cartons” beside it. We ask that you notify us within 72 hours from the time you receive the damaged blinds and supply us with a copy of the waybill to process the claim with the courier. We will coordinate the repair or replacement of the damaged products. Security
NorthernBlinds.com uses technology that ensures your personal and payment information is kept confidential and secure. When you provide us with any personal information - your name, address, e-mail and credit card number - it’s done on a secure server. One of today’s most advanced security systems - Secure Socket Layers (SSL) - encrypts all information you provide before sending it to our payment processor’s server. Only when it reaches their server is your information decrypted. In addition, all of the customer data we collect is protected against unauthorized access. Privacy Policy
Privacy is a serious matter for you and we understand that. You can visit our site and browse without providing any personal information. When you place an order or enter our contest, we will need some information, but we limit it to the minimum amount necessary. We appreciate the trust you are placing in us when you supply this information. We will only use it for the purchase and delivery of products to you. We do provide your name and shipping address to our manufacturers for delivery purposes. Additionally, they provide this information to the freight carrier for delivery purposes.
We will never disclose your personal information to a third party, for any reason, unless required to by law. That’s our policy.

Return Policy
When you order custom blinds from NorthernBlinds.com, each blind is individually manufactured for each window using your measurements and options. For this reason, we can only accept returns on orders that are incorrectly filled by the manufacturer or that are defective. If there is a defective product the manufacturer will repair or replace the product at no charge. See our Warranty Policy for more information. Because of the speed in which your order is processed and products are manufactured, there are no cancellations.
We want you to be totally satisfied that your choice of blind suits your needs and decorating style. To help you, we have tried to provide as much specific information on each product to enable you to assess which of our products best suits your needs. Discontinued and Backordered Products
We cannot guarantee that all products will be immediately available as some may be recently discontinued or placed on backorder by our manufacturers. We will make every effort to remove discontinued items as soon as we are made aware of them and will notify you whenever we receive notice of a backorder.

Colour Accuracy
Although we have tried to ensure that the colours of the samples on our site are accurate, the actual colours of the blind will vary. This is due to the fact that every computer monitor has a different capability to display colours and that everyone sees these colours differently. For these reasons, we cannot guarantee that the colour you see accurately portrays the true colour of the product. Because our products are all custom made and cannot be returned you need to be sure that any colour variations between the samples and the actual blind will be acceptable to you.
You can, however, confidently make your colour choice based on the general tones of the colour samples, for example white versus cream. If you are comparing two similar shades of white, the distinction between the two samples may not be as obvious.
Larger Images of Colour Samples
If you click on the small image of a colour sample, you will see a larger version of that sample. This will give you a better idea of the overall pattern of a fabric. Some of the images have been slightly magnified so that you can better appreciate the texture of the weave in the fabrics.
Colour Samples and Catalogues
As we have an extensive listing of online window fashions, we do not ship samples or catalogues. If you have a question about any of the products on our site, please contact our Customer Service desk.
